Another view of base & mirror. Nice mirror cover helps to keep out
the infamous Oregon Star Party dust! |

I tried to get a panorama of the entire OSP site but it covered too
large an area! Telescopes, RV's, & tents as far as the eye could
see!

Kites flying in the evening over OSP with a lovely crescent moon!
Beautiful night skies!

The Oregon Star Party includes 3 days of wonderful speakers and
activities. The children also have a full schedule of activities held in a
tent set up just for them! This year the kids built a 6" Dobsonian
telescope which was later given away in the Saturday door prize drawings.
OSP also gave away 8 telescopes from Hardin Optical & Sean's Astronomy
Shop, along with numerous other door prizes. OSP also provides a shower
truck (heavenly!), an all night espresso stand (great hot chocolate!),
numerous vendors, a swap meet, and
a food court. The "Starburgers" were out of this
world!
Chuck & Judy Dethloff founders of Oregon Star Party once again
provided a wonderful experience for everyone that attended. I wish to
thank them, the OSP committee, volunteers, and vendors for all their hard
work. Without them an event of this magnitude and success would not be
possible. Also a big thank you to the U.S. Forest service for allowing us
to use the area in spite of the fire restrictions.
